The idea
Butterfly Twists is a British shoe brand that creates ballerina flats with a twist. They needed a simple .COM website. We created exactly that with a twist.
We purchased more than 300 web extensions. Then for each, we created unique interactive experiences, all of them putting a beautiful twist on girls’ favorite things.
Butterflytwists.dating took you to a classic love story microfilm. Butterflytwists.vegas took you to a slot machine you could play to win. Butterflytwists.watch told you the exact time using a pair of shoes. Butterflytwists.guru made you worship… bare feet. Butterflytwists.fish took you to a shoe aquarium. And much more.
The results
Even as every site featured a beautiful twist, each was still a fully functional e-commerce site where people could browse and purchase the entire collection.
To date, the videos have earned more than 1M views, while the experience has generated 1300%+ more traffic, and 16x more online sales year-on-year (+£93 000).
